The Boulevard d'Athènes is one of Marseille's most famous streets.  It runs from the city's central train station (Gare de Marseille Saint-Charles) into the city centre.  An impressive stairway connects the station to the Boulevard.  Marseille's most street (La Canebière) intersects Boulevard d'Athenes at the bottom of the hill.
